The golden century in Spain is a period in between the renaissance and the baroque era, that is well known for the amount of great composers being born during this time : Francisco Guerrero, Cristobal de Morales, Tomas Lui de Victoria, Antonio de Cabezon, Diego Ortiz. Consort Brouillamini choose to highlight this exceptionnal period of time by concepting an full program around these musical geniuses. Diego Ortiz virtuoso pieces extracted from his gloses traated such as Recercadas on Pierre Sandrin song “Douce mémoire”, Jakob Arcadelt madrigal “O felici occho miei” and organ diminutions from Hernando de Cabezon written on the french song “Suzanne un jour” from Roland de Lassus will come together religious polyphonia from one of the most emblematic spanish composer of its generation : Tomas Luis de Victoria.
