When recorder face the organ
Organ and recorder are some kind of cousin. They both need air to produce sound and it is because of their likeness that Consort Brouillamini wishes to unify thoses two instruments, far from preconceived ideas. Polyphonical structure feeded the consort and klaviert repertory at the XVI and XVII century. That is why we find a lot of pieces “per suonare nell'organo e altri strumenti musicali”. Those kind of pieces were famous at the Renaissance : diminutions aimed to beautify a melody. Through this program sometimes played at the organ, sometimes at the recorder, Consort Brouillamini wish to surprise the audience with the difference between famous pieces and their respective diminutions.
